Jason Beatty

Head of Content Production

Jason Beatty is the Operations Manager and Program Director for 91.5 KUNV Las Vegas, where he oversees programming and operations for three radio stations within the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also serves as the cluster’s Production Director, executive producing and managing several of UNLV’s nationally syndication-ready podcasts.

An Adjunct Professor of Audio Production at UNLV’s Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies, Jason teaches courses in Audio Production, Podcasting & Storytelling, and Audio Announcing—drawing on 25+ years of experience to mentor the next generation of broadcasters.

Jason is currently earning his M.A. in Journalism and Media Studies, holding a perfect 4.0 GPA and a Tony Ferri Memorial Scholarship, which fully funds his studies. His thesis explores how artificial intelligence can assist human creativity in audio production, radio, and podcasting.

He began his career at CBS Radio in Rochester, NY, rising from Promotions Director to Music Director and hosting several highly rated shows. He later moved to the Cayman Islands, hosting the country’s #1 morning show and managing a four-station radio cluster for Caribbean Radio Networks.

Jason’s creativity extends beyond radio. He has produced commercial work for national agencies, contributed to statewide campaigns for the Nevada Broadcasters Association, and lent his voice and production expertise to global clients. In 2023, he was nominated for a Mercury Radio Award for Best PSA, and his stations earned Local Radio Station of the Year honors in both 2022 and 2024.

Before the pandemic, he held roles with iHeartMedia in Albany, NY, and Jexan Marketing Agency as a copywriter and web contributor.

Known for his passion for talent development, Jason has coached hundreds of on-air personalities, podcasters, and voiceover artists, many of whom now work in major markets. Often called one of the best audio editors in the industry, he brings unmatched creativity and access to expansive sound libraries to every project.
